Scott Goldman

Scott Goldman is an accomplished, dynamic entrepreneur and executive with a long track record of industry “firsts” and multiple successes in launching, building, and selling technology companies. He holds three patents in multi-factor authentication, a critical component of identity validation for secure logins and controlled physical facilities.

Mr. Goldman brings extensive experience in wireless, Internet, cybersecurity, and telecommunications technologies to merger and acquisition activities and to Boards. Since 2009 he has served as an Independent Director for Mueller Industries Inc. (NYSE:MLI), a $10B global manufacturing company. Currently, he chairs the Compensation Committee and has served on the Nominating and Governance and Audit Committees, providing the Board with a better understanding of technology and cybersecurity.

He was a strategic advisor to ParkMe (2009-2016) and provided guidance during the company’s launch phase, assisting the founders with scale planning, PR, and marketing, which ultimately led to a successful exit; ParkMe was sold to the leader in national traffic information, Inrix, in 2016.

Mr. Goldman conceived and launched TextPower, Inc., which provides a software-integrated SMS (text messaging) platform to more than 250 utilities, municipalities, and courts. The company maintains a 99.997% uptime, has sent hundreds of millions of emergency and informational messages, and has received multiple service awards. TextPower was acquired in June 2024 by Vista Equity Partners and provided a 5X return to its investors.

As the Founder and Principal of The Goldman Group, which provided consultancy services about mobile, wireless, and mobile Internet services to Fortune 500 companies and the Governments of Germany, Mexico, Australia, and Japan, he advised on regulatory matters, pricing strategies, cellular system planning, and frequency coordination of the radio spectrum. He was instrumental in the launch of Optus, Australia’s first cellular competitor to Telecom Australia, and helped the company attain stunning growth in its first year to more than $1B and 1,000+ employees.

He is a noted author and speaker, having most recently written “The Four Rs of Cybersecurity,” demystifying cybersecurity for Board Directors, CEOs, and other “non-geeks.” His ability to translate complex technologies into simplified terms has led to being interviewed more than 500 times on TV, podcasts, print, and online publications, including CNBC National Business Report, CNN Asia, NBC Nightly News, and Fox News Morning Show. He has been quoted frequently in the prominent technology industry publications, the Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Business Week, and other notable publications.
